A professional grade, semi-transparent architectural penetrating concrete stain made from bio-based soy technology. An acid-free, non toxic concrete stain alternative that is ideal for all interior and exterior porous surfaces such as: concrete, masonry, brick, stucco, fiber cement, rammed earth and natural stone surfaces. Our true penetrating concrete stain produces natural color variations and tones creating a beautiful rich finish unique to each surface. Unlike traditional concrete stain products or floor paint, there is no film or topical coating to peel, chip, or to be worn away. Instead of reacting with the concrete surface with a volatile chemical reaction such as acid staining, our soy ester technology penetrates and absorbs into the substrate surface. It is a very similar penetrating result you see from oil stains, which are next to impossible to completely remove without affecting the substrate. For existing acid stained or integral colored concrete surfaces, SoyCretetm is an excellent compliment to add consistent color variations, make repairs or design images such as pictures, logo's, etc. You can easily repair and rejuvenate surfaces with more consistency and control. Finish Sealers:
Once you are satisfied with your decorative stain look, you should apply Acri-Soytm sealer (satin or gloss) to seal and protect the stain with a lock-in protective sealant that will provide optimum long term protection. You may also elect to install our high traffic, abrasion resistant zero VOC acrylic-urethane clear coat (Eco-Tuff Clear Coat), or other finishes such as a high gloss polyurethane, polyurea, carnauba wax or other compatible finish coats for enhanced performance objectives.

Our stain finish colors are semi-transparent and not intended to create a solid color finish like topical paints, stains or coatings. These are penetrating architectural decorative finishes that provide semi-transparent contrasts, variations and tones unique to each surface similar to acid staining, but with more consistency. Do not apply SoyCretetm if you are looking for a traditional solid topical color paint-like finish.

Keep in mind that the existing substrate color, texture and porosity will affect the final color shade outcome. When choosing a standard or custom color tone you are selecting a palette color range. To achieve more consistent color tones or enhanced faux finishing techniques, you may consider applying a base stain coat in white or with additional coats. You may always mix other colors to enhance or darken your base color selection. To lighten colors, simply apply water and wipe areas to desired shade. The unique and advanced technology of our stains provides you with the ultimate versatility in adjusting your desired colors.

You may also want to consider our Deco-Poz Decorative Pozzolan Resurfacing System to create a new white decorative cementious surface that bonds to virtually any substrate. This eco-friendly resurfacing system will significantly enhance your decorative project.

Application Data:

Thoroughly clean and remove oils, waxes, coatings, etc. that may prohibit penetration. Surfaces must be porous for proper penetration. If necessary, abrade surface by sanding, grinding or non hazardous concrete etch. Apply material to a clean, dry surface using a lambswool applicator, 3/8” nap roller, brush, squeegee or low pressure spray in a thin even coat. The product may be thinned by no more than 10% with clean water for industrial sprayer applications if necessary. Back-roll or wipe to avoid puddles and to maintain an even thin coat application. When satisfied with the decorative look, allow the area to cure for a minimum of 4-6 hours, depending on environmental conditions. After cure time apply Acri-Soytm sealer (satin or gloss) to seal and finalize the installation with a lock-in protective sealant for long term protection.

Soy Stain Life Expectancy:
As with any coating, there is no way of predicting the actual life span of the coating due to substrate variations, installation, application, environment and use. However, since SoyCretetm is not a topical coating, it will not flake or peel away. The stain will last as long as the substrate integrity is undamaged. If wear to the substrate occurs, it will inevitably begin to wear the stain. Vertical, non traffic applications will enjoy significant longer life spans. To ensure maximum life span expectancy, we recommend applying our Acri-Soytm sealers every 2-3 years or as needed.

Soy Stain Finish Colors:
Our stain finish colors are not paints or coatings, thus will not provide a solid color finish that match traditional color palettes. Do not apply SoyCretetm if you are looking for a traditional solid color paint-like finish. These are architectural decorative finishes that provide contrasts, variations and tones unique to each surface.
